Resources for Pupils

There are lots of people out there who can help you with what you’re going through – whether that’s coping with day-to-day life or something new that feels a bit bigger. And remember, Ysgol Calon Cymru staff are always here to help you too.

Support Pack from Powys' Early Help Team

In light of the current uncertainties due to COVID-19, Powys’ Early Help Team can no longer offer their usual service, but they want to provide you with some help and support during this tricky time.

Kooth is a free, safe and anonymous online wellbeing advice, support and counselling service specifically designed for young people like you.

What Can You Do on Kooth?

Mind Support Sessions

Mid and North Powys Mind offer weekly online support groups on Zoom for 11–15 year olds (Tuesdays 5pm–6pm) and 16–25 year olds (Mondays & Thursdays 6.30pm–9pm). 16–25 year olds can also benefit from 1:1 support sessions if they want to speak to someone in confidence. Jess Metcalf, Ysgol Calon Cymru Youth Worker / Gweithiwr Ieuenctid

Jess Metcalf is Ysgol Calon Cymru’s Youth Worker, and is available Tuesday to Friday between 10am and 4pm.

During remote learning, pupils can contact Jess via email jess.metcalf@powys.gov.uk or message the Facebook page facebook.com/schoolyouthworker.
