Next week, Ysgol Calon Cymru are running free trips to NPTC open evenings at Newtown College (20th November) and Brecon Beacons College (21st November) for Year 11 pupils.
Information about our latest ALN Drop In. These are held half-termly across the school year on alternate campuses with a different focus each time.
As part of Ysgol Calon Cymru’s strategy to improve attendance, we are keen to ensure that any leave of absences are kept to an absolute minimum.
We invite you and your child to an information evening about the Post-16 Career Pathways on offer in Powys, to inform you of the options available for school leavers. This will enable you to make informed choices and make the right choices for future career pathways.
The Assessment Calendar for Year 10 and 11 pupils on our Builth Campus is now available to download. This offers an overview of key assessments and examination dates throughout the year.
The Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and Inclusion Team are running Parent/Carer Drop Ins on the first Thursday of every half term. The next sessions will take place on Thursday 7th November 12–1 and 5–6.
Ysgol Calon Cymru has a vacancy for a parent governor representative on the school’s governing body. Nominations are invited from all parents, or those with parental responsibility, of registered pupils at the school.
We have an opportunity to work with our CAMHS In Reach Team to offer 5 x weekly 1-hour small group sessions for pupils suffering with anxiety.
