Wythnos Iechyd Meddwl Plant

This week (Monday 7th–Sunday 13th February) is Children's Mental Health Week! This awareness week has been held annually since 2015 to shine a spotlight on the importance of young people’s mental health.

Yr wythnos hon (Dydd Llun 7fed–Dydd Sul 13eg Chwefror) yw Wythnos Iechyd Meddwl Plant! Mae'r wythnos ymwybyddiaeth hon wedi'i chynnal yn flynyddol ers 2015 i dynnu sylw at bwysigrwydd iechyd meddwl pobl ifanc.

Shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people's mental health this Children's Mental Health Week. Help to ensure every child has easy access to mental health support whenever they need it. Use clothing and colour to express yourself during Children’s Mental Health Week and donate £2 to Place2Be.

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are characterised by an abnormal attitude to food and body weight/ shape, leading a person to alter their eating patterns and behaviours, causing damage to their physical and mental health. The following resources are designed to help you if you are affected by an eating disorder like anorexia, bulimia or binge eating. They self-care tips for helping yourself, plus guidance for friends and family.

Anhwylderau Bwyta 

Nodweddir anhwylderau bwyta gan agwedd annormal at fwyd a phwysau/siâp y corff, gan arwain person i newid ei batrymau a'i ymddygiadau bwyta, gan achosi niwed i'w iechyd corfforol a meddyliol. Mae'r adnoddau canlynol wedi'u cynllunio i'ch helpu os yw anhwylder bwyta fel anorecsia, bwlimia neu oryfed yn effeithio arnoch. Maen nhw'n hunanofal am helpu eich hun, ynghyd ag arweiniad i ffrindiau a theulu.

Self Harm

Most people self harm as a way of coping with problems, but this generally doesn’t work because the solution is short-term and the problems don’t go away. Self harm as a behaviour also brings up difficult emotions such as feeling ashamed or different and this could make you feel worse. It can become a habit that’s hard to break. The following resources are designed to help you if you sometimes feel distressed and are think about harming yourself.

Mae'r rhan fwyaf o bobl yn hunan-niweidio fel ffordd o ymdopi â phroblemau, ond yn gyffredinol nid yw hyn yn gweithio oherwydd bod yr ateb yn un tymor byr ac nad yw'r problemau'n diflannu. Mae hunan-niweidio fel ymddygiad hefyd yn codi emosiynau anodd fel teimlo cywilydd neu wahanol a gallai hyn wneud i chi deimlo'n waeth. Gall ddod yn arfer sy'n anodd ei dorri. Mae'r adnoddau canlynol wedi'u cynllunio i'ch helpu os ydych weithiau'n teimlo'n ofidus ac yn meddwl am niweidio eich hun.
